Description of the organization
The Ministry of Education and Science by order of July 19, 2012 no. 249, "On the names of vocational education institutions" - changed the name of the educational institution from "Rietumzemgale vocational education competence center "Jelgava Vocational High School"" to "Jelgava Technical College" while maintaining the competence center status.
Since 1969, the educational institution has trained specialists in the following sectors:
- Construction.

- Energy.

- Wood industry.

- Metalworking, mechanical engineering, mechanical engineering.

- Tourism.

- Manufacture of textiles, clothing, leather and leather products.

- Production of electronic and optical equipment, information and communication technologies.

- Business, finance, accounting, administration.
